Mexico Cruise Highlights:
Cabo San Lucas - The timeless images of that natural archway spilling into the sea evokes all the right ingredients for vacation time: Maritime desert climates, beaches galore, crystal blue surf and big game fish along the southern coast of rugged Baa California. This ideal resort and entertainment hub thrives at the enf of the road, literally where the long Mexican peninsula meets the surf. Find classic Mexico in San Jose del Cabo, the old town, and a resort fringes coast nearly always slathered in sunshine. Cabo's diving shopping bargains can't be beat, and wear sunglasses on Lover's Beach as well as on forays to Las Playitas - a series of mini beaches tucked into weathered coves.
Mazatlan - Your first impression may be of a cosmopolitan western-Mexico beach city serving up great weather, venerable igleasias and an array of beached. But immerse yourself a little but and the city gets ever more remarkable. Cliff divers wait at the top of a rocky outcrop for the right wave then plummet 45 feet into the sea. Sunlight filters in through myriad panels of stained glass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Waves crash on the esplanade along Olas Altas beach providing a soundtrack for an evening stroll. And, mmm, the shrimp, Mazatlan serves it up fresh; try some al mojo de ajo or in the shell with a tangy squeeze of lime.
Puerto Vallarta - Puerto Vallarta squeezed into the thin space between Banderas Bay and the verdant folds of the Sierra Madre. It's no longer the well kept secret of the artists, writers and Hollywood stars who first "discovered" it in the 1960s, but "PV" (as it's affectionately known) still remains the essence of the fishing village it once once. Viejo Vallarta, the old town, is a mix of red tiled buildings, cobbled streets, chic shops and busy open markets. Other highlights include Mismaloya Beach, Gringo Gulch, and Conchas Chinas, the Beverly Hills of Vallarta. Head inland for more adventure, up into the rugged canyons and luxuriant jungles of the mountains.

As part of a $300 million brand enhancement initiative, ms Oosterdam began the cruise season having just received a host of exciting updates, including new lounges, dining and entertainment venues and completely refreshed suites.

Live music has always been the heart and soul of evenings aboard Holland America Line, and now Oosterdam features the full Music Walk experience - with three exciting venures. Lincoln Center Stage showcases an ensemble of outstanding musicians performing multiple programs of chamber music each evening, as well as afternoon recitals on sea days. Billboard Onboard features talented musicians performing dynamic shows centered around 50 years of chart toping hits. These two new venues join the wildly popular BB King's Blues Club featuring an eight piece band that brings the best of Memphus blues to the Queen's lounge every night.
Oosterdam offers a wide selection of lounges and gathering places to enjoy - each on unique. The newest is Gallery Bay, featuring an eclectic and whimsical mix of artwork including portraits, landscapes, still life and abstract pieces. Replacing the Northern Lights nightclub, this sophisticated venue offers an exclusive menu of craft cocktails created by master mixologist Dale DeGroff.
Choose from an array of onboard activities that allow you to pursue new interests or relax and rejuvenate. The Greenhouse Spa & Salon offers spa treatments, a thermal pool and lounge and a variety of salon service.
