Princess Cruises Mexico Cruise Special!

From mariachis to margaritas, Mexico is where it all began for Princess with our first cruise vacation in 1965. Fifty years later, we continue to visit the best of the region on a wide variety of sailings to the Mexican Riviera roundtrip from Los Angeles or San Francisco, with stops in colorful Puerto Vallarta, the playground to the stars, Cabo San Lucas and more.

Visit 3 ports including popular favorites Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Enjoy convenient weekend cruise departures from Los Angeles. This is a great vacation value compared to a land resort, plus, we bring you direct to the heart of each port! This is the perfect cruise for couples, honeymooners, families or anyone who loves the bright flavors of Mexico. Enjoy an array of Princess signature features and enjoy getting to know our friendly crew.

There is so much to do and see on your Mexico cruise with Princess Cruises. By day, swim, fish, shop or soak up the local culture. Mexico Cruise Highlights:

Puerto Vallarta - Puerto Vallarta was sleepy no more; its transformation into an international resort had begun. Then director John Huston chose the village as the location for his film "Night of the Iguana," starring Richard Burton. Today, the city has its own "Gringo Gulch," a haunt of the rich and famous. Travelers are also drawn by its climate, its excellent shopping - which offers great values on leather goods, jewelry, and handicrafts - and mile after mile of palm-lined beaches.

Mazatlan - Lying just below the Tropic of Cancer, Mazatlan boasts a superb year-round climate. Mazatlan, a name that means "Place of the Deer," sits on a peninsula at the feet of the rugged Sierra Madre, and the Cerro de Neveria - "Ice Box Hill" - divides the area's rocky Pacific beaches from the broad, white-sand beaches beloved by visitors. The climate, the beaches, and the world-class sportfishing have turned this commercial fishing port into one of the world's top resort destinations. Yet while visitors flock to the markets, bathe in the sun, or marvel at the airborne ballet of the famed Papantla dancers, Mazatlan remains one of Mexico's major Pacific ports - the city exports over 40 million pounds of shrimp every year.

Cabo San Lucas - Millennia ago, Cabo San Lucas was part of the Mexican mainland. Then a massive rupture of the San Andreas Fault sent the waters of the Pacific crashing into the newly formed depression, creating the Sea of Cortez and the Baja Peninsula. Lying at the very tip of Baja, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez, Cabo San Lucas - or "Cabo" - is one of the premier resort destinations in the Western Hemisphere. Swim in the transparent waters, marvel at the wealth of marine life, relax on one of the white-sand beaches or try your hand at some of the finest sportfishing in the world.

Los Angeles - The City of Angels always hovers between dream and reality. Once a near-forgotten colonial outpost, the pueblo metamorphosed into an agrarian paradise before reinventing itself as a movie colony. Perhaps no other city owes so much to the technological innovations of the 20th century, from the automobile to the airplane. Little wonder that LA is oft described as the "dream machine." In LA, reinvention is a way of life. Yet this talent for change has created a city with a rich ethnic diversity and a sizzling culture. LA is the source for trends that migrate across the country and then the world. Where else can you enjoy a Thai taco or munch on a kosher burrito? Or travel from downtown's high rises to the beaches of Malibu, shopping in Beverly Hills along the way?

We bring Mexican Culture Onboard - You'll not only learn about Mexico's rich heritage and bright flavors ashore, but experience it firsthand on board with enrichment offerings like: Live mariachi performances, Destination expert presentations, Margarita and tequila tastings, Freshly prepared classic Mexican cuisine, and Tax & duty-free handicrafts at our boutiques.

Let Us Show You Treasures Ashore - Discover this country's festive heart & soul on award-winning shore excursions like Coastal whale-watching in Cabo San Lucas, Folkloric shows and authentic fare in Mazatlan, sportfishing in Manzanzillo and a zip line adventure in Puerto Vallarta. And on itineraries with More Ashore Late Night calls, we stay until at least 9:00pm in port so you can also experience some of the fabulous nightlife.

Princess has been cruising the Mexican Riviera longer than anyone, and we know how to do the Mexican Riviera right. From lively towns to sleepy fishing villages, you'll experience the best of Mexico's West coast. The only thing more relaxing than Mexico is lounging on board your luxurious Princess ship beneath the warm Pacific sun. Perhaps a swim in one of our shimmering pools or a soothing dip in a hot tub will help you unwind.

For a romantic getaway, there's no better cruise ship than Ruby Princess, which was christened in 2008 by lovebirds Trista and Ryan Sutter of TV's The Bachelorette. A night of romance can be created wherever you look, from a Piazza singer's sweet serenade, to a relaxing couples massage from a cabana in The Sanctuary. Movies Under the Stars is also a cozy venue, where you can cuddle up under a warm blanket and watch a romantic comedy amongst the evening stars. To enhance its elegance, Ruby Princess sails to some of the world's most breathtaking destinations, including the Mexican Riviera. Rekindle your passion onboard Ruby Princess!

Featuring our latest innovations, Ruby Princess is one of the largest Princess ships, with room for 3,080 passengers. From her nearly 900 balconies, you can enjoy sweeping views of romantic landscapes across the world. After experiencing the relaxed comfort of our intimate on board venues, however, you may not want to explore the beauty ashore! The serenity of The Sanctuary and the casual street cafe atmosphere of the Piazza may just reel you in for the day, while your nights might be filled with the great tasting food offered in the Crown Grill followed by a first-run film at Movies Under the Stars.

Dining - Our Princess chefs are true culinary artists who insist on serving the very finest cuisine - and it shows. Our entire fleet has been inducted into the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs gastronomic society. Each chef's menu is creative and the selections change every day. Pair that with impeccable service and you're in for an unforgettable gourmet experience.

Entertainment - To say the nightlife on board is entertaining is an understatement. Illuminating the stage in captivating productions, our performers are some of the most talented musicians, singers and dancers at sea. Our Princess Signature Shows, lounge performers, movies and casinos are just some of the entertainment our guests enjoy as they escape completely.

Activities - The many activities on board our ships are designed to stimulate, educate, entertain, inspire and sweat - not necessarily in that order. But, you can be sure we'll do our best to cover all the bases. And from art auctions to our Lotus Spa, this ship is loaded with fun things to do.

Under 18 - With Princess, young kids and teens have their own kind of fun - and their own place to hang out. Our youth and teen centers are fully equipped with everything from the latest video games and movies, to arts and crafts, foose-ball tables, board games and jukeboxes. And for the littlest ones, activities like kids' karaoke, pizza parties, pajama nights and more.
